Centre/Library
The Movement's combined library and
resource centre boasts a diver range of books and publications from the region
and around the world fact it is recognized as one of the more comprehensive
libraries of women's and human rights issues in the Pacific Islands. Publications include reports,
newsletters, information kits on domestic violence, human rights, sexual
harassment, equal pay for work of equal value, gender and development, women and
the environment, women living under Mush laws, women and the law, religion,
women and health, women and economics. Research papers by Pacific Island women, on women, often unavailable
in other libraries, are also held. Students regularly use FWRM's resource centre
to research and collate information on women's issues.
FWRM's library
has become a centre for academic research as well as other action oriented
research and information collation. The library also carries a wide collection
of books donated by members. These are books by female authors with themes and
styles best suited t o reading for pleasure. Only members who have paid an
annual membership subscription may borrow books by female authors with themes
and styles best suited to reading for pleasure. Entertainment and educational
videos are also available for borrowing by members.
